Graphical User Interface GUI

1. Tree view

The project tree view provides all information about the current project such as: Frequency settings / Numerous variables for real, optimization and equations (complex mathematical expressions) / Circuits und sub circuits (including error function defini- tions for the optimization at circuit / sub circuit level) / Default settings for units, accuracy, symmetries and material properties.

2. Libraries

Libraries are available for following key-building elements: Steps, irises, cavities, bends, junctions, coaxial probes, entire structures (e.g. tapers, OMT's, etc.), radiation, dielectric resonators, 3D FEM elements. / There are also libraries available for the import of scattering, parameters, ideal filter and sub circuits.

3. Macro

The macro menu contains predefined VBA macros for the COM interface, e.g. for generation of taper structures, automatic connection and convergence analysis. Using the built-in VBA editor, the set of macros can be easily extended by the user, i.e. to create links to other programs like Matlab™ or Excel™.

4. Info Panel

The info panel displays messages, the current netlist and provides an optimization monitor.

5. Status Bar

The status bar shows run time information e.g. current analysis and optimization status.

6. Schematic Editor

The schematic editor allows the setup of a three dimensional structure based on key building blocks. / The editor supports zoom, drag and drop, cut and paste, undo / redo functionality and a variety of other useful macros. / The schematic contains a text editor for comments or descriptions.

7. NTL-3D Viewer

The OpenGL based 3D viewer enables visualization of circuit geometries, mesh files and field patterns as well as the export to common CAD formats, like STL, DXF, VRML and STEP.
