Peter Krauss

Peter Krauß was born in Reisbach, Germany, in 1960. He received the Dipl.-Ing.(FH) degree in electrical engineering from the Hochschule Bremen, Germany, in 1986, the Dipl.-Ing. and Dr.-Ing. degrees, both in electrical engineering, from the University of Bremen, Germany, in 1991 and 1998, respectively. From 1991 to 1995 he was with the Microwave Department, University of Bremen, Germany. His research interests were related to the computer-aided design of passive waveguide components based on the mode-matching method. From 1995 to 1999, he developed in cooperation with Microwave Innovation Group (MIG), Germany, their CAD tool. He was especially involved in the software management and the developing of the important basics of their waveguide simulation software tool. Since 1999, he has only been working with MICIAN GbR, Germany, which he co founded with Jan M. Reiter in 1998. His current work includes the microwave computer-aided (CAD) technology for electromagnetic (EM) simulations and optimizations.
