The Mician GmbH (in the following: “we“) welcomes you to this website. As the operators of this website, we are responsible for the processing of personal data on it and have to comply with European and German Data Protection Law.

Thus, we protect your privacy and your personal data. We only collect, process or utilise your data in compliance with this Privacy Policy and European and German Data Protection Law. In the following, we want to give you further information about these

§ 3 Data collection and processing once you enter the website


Generally speaking, you are free to use our website without any need to state any of your personal data. However, every time you access our website, the following data (access data) will be anonymously and temporarily recorded by us and saved as a logfile on the server of our provider: 


  • IP-Address of your device,
  • Date and time of the access,
  • Name and URL of the data that was requested,
  • Website from which the access to our website happened,
  • Name of the internet service provider,
  • Amount of data transferred,
  • A status, whether or not the access was successful,
  • Data for the recognition of your browser and your operating system.


This data is collected for technical reasons and only used for statistical purposes and to improve our offer. This data is saved in a way that does not allow to draw any conclusions about your identity so that your personal identity cannot be determined by this data. This data will be either deleted at the end of the connection or anonymized. Legal basis for the temporary storing of this data is according to art. 6 para. 1 letter f) General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) our legitimate interest to technically provide our website.


§ 4 Obligation to provide the data


Generally speaking, you are free to state or disclose any personal data on this website and you are in principle neither legally nor contractually obliged to do so. If, under special circumstances, there should be an obligation to do so, we will inform you about this regarding the respective data process separately.

In principle, there are not any disadvantages for you, if you wish to not disclose any personal data. This applies to a refusal to set cookies, as well.

However, it is possible that in this case not all the functions on our website can function correctly.

If you do so, we save your e-mail-address and the data mentioned in the e-mail to reply to your request. Your e-mail-address is only used for the communication between you and us. It is not used for any other purposes.

The data you provide will be used to process your request and in the event of follow-up questions.

The processing is carried out according to Art. 6 Para. 1 letter f GDPR, namely in our legitimate interest to be able to reply to the e-mail and toanswer your inquiry.
If your request is aimed at concluding a contract, Art. 6 Para. 1 letter b GDPR applies as a further legal basis.


Storage time
The data transferred to us will be stored by us for the duration of the communication with you. After the final completion of the communication, the data will be deleted, unless there are legal retention periods.


Recipients or categories of recipients
Your message will be transferred via the e-mail provider we use and will be stored, as well. In order to secure your rights, we have concluded an order processing agreement with the recipient.


Transfer to a third country or international organisation
The personal data you provide when contacting us will not be transferred by us to a third country or an international organization.


§ 6 Cookies


For the improvement of our website, we use so-called “Cookies”. Cookies are text information files, which will be “installed” locally on your computer by your web-browser in case you access our website. Most cookies contain an identification number, which allows us to identify you and your browser.

Generally speaking, cookies are separated into two groups: so-called persistent cookies and transient cookies. 


  • Temporary / transient Cookies, amongst which are especially the so-called „Session-Cookies“, will be deleted automatically once you close your browser. § 7 YouTube


This website contains content of the video platform “YouTube”. YouTube is operated by the YouTube LLC, 901 Cherry Ave. in San Bruno, 94066 California, USA. YouTube LLC on the other hand is represented by Google LLC (“Google”), 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway in Mountain View, 94042 California, USA. Videos from YouTube are integrated in our website under the advanced privacy setting. This means that none of your information is collected and stored by YouTube unless you play the respective video. In this case, YouTube, respectively Google, will collect your IP-address and the websites you have visited. Additionally, if you have an own YouTube account and if you are logged in into this account, this will also be assigned to your account. However, at no time will data in this regard be processed by the responsible body of this website. This is done solely by the external operator of the video platform YouTube itself once you play the respective video. § 8 Registration


Within the area of our customer service, you can register yourself in order to create a personal user profile for the purpose of


  • the technical management of the website
  • the customer administration and processing
  • for product surveys and marketing


In order to create an account, you are obliged to state a username, your e-mail-address and a password. This mandatory information is highlighted with a red “*”. Additionally, date and time of your registration will be saved, as well.

However, you are neither contractually nor legally obliged to create a user profile.

The statistical collection, analyzation and protocolling of the registration process is based on our legitimate interest according to Art. 6 Para. 1 letter f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the lawful registration and complies with our business interest as well as with the expectations of our users.

The personal data you provide when contacting us will not be transferred by us to a third country or an international organization.


Storage time

The data that you provide to us within the registration process will be stored until you delete your personal user profile or until you revoke your consent. In such cases, the data will be deleted, unless there are legal retention periods.


The right to revoke your consent
As a user, you have the right to delete your account and thus object to any further data processing in the future – provided that there are not any contractual or legal retention periods that prevent such a deletion of your personal data. In order to delete your account, please proceed as follows:

  • scroll down to the bottom
  • click on "Cancel account"
  • confirm on the following page "Are you sure you want to cancel your account?" 
  • by clicking on the "Cancel account" button
  • you will receive an e-mail with a one time link. This link is only valid for one day and expires
    automatically if you do not use it.
  • please click on this link and your account will be deleted.

Furthermore, you can simply object to the processing of your data at any time for the future by contacting us under the contact details listed below. That way you can revoke your consent.


In the event of such an objection to the processing of your data, you can no longer use the functions that are linked to the registration and that require a personal user profile. Additionally, we would like to inform you that you can at least not object to the processing of your data if such data will be needed for the performance of a contract between us.

You can exercise the following rights against us with regard to your personal data:

  • the right to information pursuant to Art. 15 GDPR
  • the right to correct and/or complete the data in accordance with Article 16 GDPR
  • the right to the deletion of personal data in accordance with Art. 17 GDPR
  • the right to limitation of processing in accordance with Article 18 GDPR
  • the right to data transferability in accordance with Art. 20 GDPR

Furthermore, you have a right of appeal against a data protection supervisory authority with regard to the processing of your personal data with and by us.


§ 10 Right to revoke a previously issued declaration of consent


In case you issued a declaration of consent with regard to the processing of your personal data by us, you are free to revoke your consent at any time and with effect for the future. Any processing of your data prior to the revocation will not be affected in its legitimacy.

If you consider that we infringe the GDPR, you have, according to art. 77 GDPR and in addition to your rights mentioned above, the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of your habitual residence, your place of work or the place of the alleged infringement.

We took the necessary technical and organizational measures in order to secure that your personal data is protected against any unauthorized access, destruction, loss or modification by third parties.

We reserve the right to alter this privacy policy at any time with effect for the future. This might be necessary, because of the steady further development of our website or in order to comply with the legal provisions.
